Dr. Jamshid Maddahi is internationally recognized as a leader and expert in cardiovascular disease research, teaching and patient care, practicing nuclear cardiology in Los Angeles. He is a Professor (Level VII) of Medicine (Cardiology) and Molecular and Medical Pharmacology (Nuclear Medicine) at UCLA School of Medicine and Director of the Biomedical Imaging Institute.

Dr. Jamshid Maddahi, MD, FACC, FASNC

He began his pioneering research in Nuclear Cardiology in 1977, and extended it to cardiac Positron Emission Tomography (PET). As a nuclear cardiologist his research has benefited patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease worldwide. He has authored over 200 original research articles, abstracts and book chapters.

Dr. Maddahi has been awarded and managed millions of dollars for research from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and private sources.

He has trained many physicians in the sub-specialties of cardiology and nuclear medicine. His expertise is widely sought after at national and international scientific conferences. He has delivered over 1200 lectures worldwide.
