Before you walk in the door Dr will have familiarized himself with your past medical records, medicines, procedures and doctors notes before your initial exam. Dr. takes the time to sit down and discuss your health and whatever is going on with you, family history, he asks all the right questions, he gives you whatever time is needed and he listens. Dr.'s exams are thorough and he does not skimp on anything. Dr.is insightful and has tremendous knowledge and experience and his patients live to be old. That, insight saved my life and the life of another friend of mine.... I have referred several friends to him as I know they are in good hands, they all love him and are so grateful to have him in their lives... Also, Doctor doesn't let the insurance companies tell him what he can and cannot do, he will fight for his patients, and he wins! Dr.has a brilliant team of surgeons and they take care of you as if you are family (family that they love). Also if you call and tell them you are having a problem, they get you in right away. Where many doctors will schedule you for a week or more, they always make time for you.. My biggest fear is that he is going to retire, but he promises he has no intention of doing that. Dr. Jamshid Maddahi is a 5 Star doctor with a good sense of humor, I recommend him highly. :))

PET scanning works by injecting a small amount of radioactive material into the body.
